Janome DC6050: everyday sewing with convenient controls
The DC6050 gives you 50 built-in stitches for garments, repairs, appliqué and decorative sewing. Four direct selection keys put everyday stitches close at hand. The LCD shows your stitch, recommended foot and starting width and length settings.
An automatic thread cutter trims both threads when you finish a seam. The included extension table supports larger pieces, while the hard cover protects the machine during storage.

Choose and adjust your stitches
The reference chart on the machine shows utility, stretch, satin, decorative and buttonhole stitches. Select your pattern with the buttons and adjust suitable stitches up to 7 mm wide and 5 mm long.
Three one-step buttonholes offer useful choices for garment making. The supplied automatic buttonhole foot and stabiliser plate support the fabric as the machine sews.

Control your sewing pace
Use the speed slider to set a comfortable pace, up to 820 stitches per minute. The start/stop button lets you sew without the foot control. Needle up/down helps you position the needle for turning corners or removing your fabric.
The reverse and auto-lock buttons help secure appropriate stitches. Press the cutter button to trim the needle and bobbin threads. Select cutter memory when you want threads trimmed after stitch lock-off.

Prepare the machine for your fabric
The built-in needle threader helps guide thread through the needle eye. Drop the bobbin into place and follow the Easy Set channel to begin without drawing up the bobbin thread by hand.
Adjust foot pressure through six levels and set thread tension with the dial. The seven-piece feed dog moves your fabric through the machine. Use a suitable needle and test the actual layers before sewing your project.

Move between quilting, flat-bed and free-arm work
The extension table supports quilts and larger fabric pieces. The supplied quarter-inch foot helps with piecing. Lower the feed dogs for free-motion sewing or darning with a suitable optional foot.
Remove the accessory compartment to expose the free arm for sleeves and cuffs. LED lighting illuminates the sewing area. At 6.4 kg, the machine is manageable for moving between your sewing space and classes.

Does it cut both the top and bobbin threads?
Yes. Press the automatic cutter button to trim both threads. Cutter memory can also trim them after stitch lock-off.
Can I sew without using the foot pedal?
Yes. Use the start/stop button and speed slider. Follow the instruction book when changing between button and foot-control operation.
Does it have an alphabet or hoop embroidery?
No. Its built-in patterns provide utility and decorative sewing stitches. Choose a machine with lettering or embroidery functions if you want to stitch names or hoop embroidery designs.
Can I use it for quilting?

What should I check if stitches become uneven?
Check the needle, top threading and bobbin placement first. Test tension, pressure and stitch settings on matching fabric. Contact our friendly team if the problem continues.
