Follow a fabric edge or seam to keep topstitching at a consistent distance. The adjustable guide gives you a reference as you sew.

Set your stitching distance

Lift the rear lever to move the guide, then secure it in position. The marked flange adjusts up to one inch from the foot edge.

Use the guide for edge stitching, hems and decorative rows. Guide the fabric gently rather than pushing it against the flange.

Before you sew

Fit the foot and check needle clearance by turning the handwheel slowly. Set your stitch and guide spacing on an offcut before sewing the finished piece.
