Janome MC6700P: space and control for sewing and quilting
The Memory Craft 6700P Professional combines a metal flat bed with 255 mm of space to the right of the needle. Spread out quilt layers and larger garment pieces on the included extension table. AcuFeed Flex guides fabric from above and below to help you manage layers and matching patterns.
Choose from 200 built-in stitches, nine one-step buttonholes and block or script lettering. The backlit LCD, stitch chart and customisable direct selection screen keep useful settings close at hand.

Support quilts and larger projects
The seamless metal flat bed gives you a continuous surface around the needle. The workspace is 255 × 120 mm, with an extension table supplied for larger pieces. This is a flat-bed machine rather than a free-arm model.
A rigid internal aluminium frame supports stable sewing. LED lights in three locations illuminate the working area. The MC6700P received a Good Design Award and was a featured finalist in the 2018 International Design Excellence Awards.
Manage layers with AcuFeed Flex
Fit the supplied twin AcuFeed holder and AD foot for layered projects. Its upper feed works with the lower feed dogs. Adjust the AcuFeed balance dial when the layers need feeding at different rates.

Manual foot pressure has a visible gauge and fine adjustment. Set tension to suit your needle, thread and fabric. Use a sample with the same layers as your project to check the result.
Change plates and sew with the HP system
Release the needle plate with one button and snap the replacement into place. Three plates are supplied: standard, straight stitch and professional-grade HP. The straight-stitch plate has left, centre and right holes.
Use the HP plate with the supplied HP foot for appropriate straight-stitch work. Select an allowed stitch and needle position for the fitted plate. Follow the instruction book when changing plates and feet.

Set your pace and finish seams
Straight stitching reaches up to 1,200 stitches per minute. Use the speed slider to work at a comfortable pace. Start/stop, reverse, auto-lock and memorised needle up/down controls help you manage each seam.
The automatic cutter trims both the needle and bobbin threads. The adjustable knee lifter raises and lowers the foot so your hands can stay on the fabric. A large foot control is included.

Keep favourite stitches and combinations
Replace seven stitches on the direct selection screen with your most-used patterns. Save favourite stitch settings, including buttonhole adjustments. Width adjusts up to 9 mm and length up to 5 mm for suitable stitches.
Edit individual stitches and combinations, mirror suitable patterns and elongate selected satin stitches up to five times. Store up to 20 pattern combinations for reuse after switching the machine off. Block and script lettering add names, labels and decorative messages.

Prepare thread and personalise the controls
The Superior Needle Threader helps guide thread through the needle eye. The Easy Set top-loading bobbin and independent bobbin-winding motor simplify preparation. Upright spool pins and spool rests support thread delivery.

Adjust machine preferences in the set menu, including sound and needle stop settings. Resume and startover functions help you return to sewing or restart a pattern. Lower the feed dogs for free-motion work and use the twin-needle setting for appropriate stitches.

Questions about the MC6700P
Who is the MC6700P suited to?
It suits sewists who want a larger flat working surface, faster straight stitching and control over layered projects. Its decorative stitches and lettering also support garment and home sewing. Ask our friendly team about the materials and projects you plan to make.
Does it have a free arm?
No. The MC6700P has a continuous flat bed. This supports larger pieces but does not convert to a narrow arm for cuffs and sleeves.
Is AcuFeed Flex included?
Yes. The twin AcuFeed holder and AD foot are supplied. Fit them for appropriate layered sewing and adjust the feed balance to suit your fabric. Single-holder attachments are separate accessories.
Are the HP foot and three needle plates included?
Yes. You receive the HP foot, standard plate, straight-stitch plate and HP plate. Use the matched foot, plate and allowed stitch settings described in the instruction book.
Can I save decorative stitch combinations?
Yes. Save up to 20 combinations and recall them for later projects. The saved combinations remain available after switching off the machine.
Can it stitch names or embroidery designs?
Block and script lettering can stitch names and labels with the sewing foot. It does not have hoop embroidery designs or an embroidery unit.
Does the cutter trim both threads?
Yes. The automatic cutter trims the needle and bobbin threads. Use the appropriate automatic cutting settings when programming your sewing.
What should I check if layers or stitches look uneven?
Check threading, the needle and bobbin placement first. Test pressure and tension on matching layers. With AcuFeed engaged, adjust its balance dial if the top and bottom layers feed differently. Contact our friendly team if the problem continues.
Where can I find instructions and feature information?
The instruction book is supplied. You can also read Janome Australia’s brochure and view the official MC6700P instruction book.
